San Daniele del Friuli, Italy, May 15, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- LimaCorporate announced its Phase Two plan during the global coronavirus emergency, which includes providing full salary compensation to all employees receiving government “social shock absorber” benefits by combining company-paid wages with government subsidies, as more employees return to work.

Throughout the crisis, LimaCorporate continued its manufacturing and sales operations through its two facilities in Italy. All other employees worked remotely to ensure the continuity of business operations, including new product development, product registration, and other key value-creating activities.

This week, LimaCorporate announced that it would accept an additional nine weeks of benefits under the Italian government’s “social shock absorber” scheme. For its subsidiaries worldwide, LimaCorporate will enable them to utilize local forms of “social shock absorber” benefits where feasible. However, a significant change has been made: with the support of shareholders and the advisory committee, it has now been decided that full salaries will be paid to all employees in the coming weeks, including those who have already received different forms of government “social shock absorber” benefits. Luigi Ferrari, CEO of LimaCorporate,Luigi Ferrari) explained: “Lima Corporate not only innovates in a standard manner through products and services, but also fosters innovation among our employees. This decision demonstrates that our shareholders and the company are deeply committed to our workforce and highly attuned to their needs. We aim to restore confidence starting from the core of our organization and strengthen the sense of belonging among all employees.”

LimaCorporate also plans to bring more employees back to the workplace during Phase 2. The company will adopt a phased, small-scale approach to returning staff to work, with continuous monitoring strictly maintained. Other employees will continue working remotely until conditions are suitable for the full workforce to return. Mr. Ferrari added, “We are a company that frequently sets ambitious goals and holds high expectations for our employees. High expectations come with great responsibility, and I aim to safeguard the health and safety of our employees, partners, and the business at every stage.”

As another incentive measure, LimaCorporate will also study and develop a new reward system and adjust its 2020 targets as the company emerges from this crisis.

Mr. Ferrari concluded, “We are seeing our business gradually recover, and we indeed expect to increase turnover in the coming months. We must be prepared to resume operations with drive and enthusiasm, which are essential elements for properly managing the business recovery.”
