(NYSE: CTLT),Announced today the acquisition of Teva and Takeda Pharmaceutical's located inMinakuchi Town, Koka City, Shiga Prefecture, Japanclinical packaging facilities (Teva and Takeda Pharmaceutical are headquartered in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, Japan), this acquisition aims to establish a new GMP-compliant clinical manufacturing and logistics center to support clinical studies. The transaction is expected to be completed on July 1, 2020, and the financial details of the deal have not yet been disclosed.

The clinical facility covers an area of approximately 60,000 square feet., set to become Catalent’s largest clinical supply hub in the Asia-Pacific region, with capabilities in primary and secondary packaging, ambient and cold-chain storage and distribution, as well as clinical returns and destruction. In the future, it will provide customers with Catalent FastChain® demand-driven supply services. It will collaborate with Catalent’s clinical supply facility in Kakegawa, Japan, to deliver comprehensive services to local clients and global biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies.
