On May 25, Qingting Network reported that although we have previously covered news related to the visually impaired community, including Vivid Vision’s use of VR and hand-tracking technology to treat amblyopia, and the research project led by Bao Min, a chief researcher at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, which utilizes VR to aid in the treatment of amblyopia.

Another company, NuEyes, is helping disadvantaged groups “see” the world through AR/VR technology, while also providing a telemedicine solution called NuCall.

In terms of specifics, NuEyes has previously utilized AR glasses to help individuals with amblyopia better perceive real-world content. It is reported that people with amblyopia often have difficulty seeing objects clearly in front of them. NuEyes’ solution involves capturing images via a camera embedded in the AR glasses and directly magnifying and displaying them through the AR internal display module.

Additionally, some color-blind users can customize the colors they see according to their preferences.

It is reported that NuEyes’ current partners include Epson, Pico, ThirdEye, as well as U.S. healthcare centers, AT&T, and NBC.
