China Venture June 5 News: Recently, RaysightMed, an AI-driven healthcare company specializing in cardiovascular care, announced the completion of its RMB 50 million Series A+ financing round. The round was led by China Growth Capital, with participation from Matrix Partners China and Shanghai Greenriver Investment Co., Ltd. In less than two years, RaysightMed has secured three rounds of funding totaling over RMB 100 million. According to reports, the proceeds from this round will primarily be used to accelerate the clinical application and implementation of its core products, strengthen the research and development of other products within its platform, and build out the company’s marketing and service systems.
Dr. Zheng Lingxiao, Founder and CEO of RaysightMed, stated: “CT-FFR, along with otherArtificial IntelligenceOur product is fundamentally different. While other products merely provide information that physicians can already extract from medical images, CT-FFR delivers additional, higher-value insights that are not directly obtainable from imaging alone. The large-scale clinical application of FFR, a functional assessment tool, in the field of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases has become a clear trend, with strong indicators across all sectors. Clinical experts increasingly recognize and emphasize the importance of functional FFR testing. Internationally, HeartFlow has been actively advancing FFRCT technology, while domestically, various new FFR technologies are emerging rapidly. RaysightMed is deeply rooted in the cardiovascular and cerebrovascular fields, committed to providing physicians with high-quality medical services to ensure the earliest diagnosis and most precise treatment for every vessel. Currently, in China’s CT-FFR market, there is no traditional multinational corporation leading market education and promotion. Nevertheless, RaysightMed remains confident in its strategic judgment and capabilities, working alongside industry partners who share this vision to vigorously promote the clinical adoption of CT-FFR as a premium solution in China.
Xiong Weiming, Partner at China Growth Capital and the lead investor in this round, stated, “The effective integration of technologies from IT, physics, and chemical engineering with traditional biomedical application scenarios has always been a key focus for China Growth Capital. We are delighted to join and support the rapid development of RaysightMed, driven by its innovative products deeply aligned with clinical needs, its outstanding team with profound expertise and complementary capabilities, its efficient execution, and its commitment to contributing to national public health.
