AstraZeneca Expands Its Innovation Healthcare Ecosystem with New Regional Centers and Strategic Partnerships

　　2020AstraZenecaChina Ecosystem Conference and the 3rd Business Innovation Partner Conference was held in Wuxi on June 21-22, attracting more than 500 innovative enterprises and 50 fund companies from across China. Deputy Mayor Gao Yaguang and Deputy Mayor, Secretary of the Party Working Committee of the High-tech Zone, and Secretary of the Xinwu District Committee Jiang Min attended the conference.

Themed “Boundless · Co-creation,” the conference featured nearly 20 parallel sessions covering business innovation, the new digital health ecosystem, mobile screening, innovation park empowerment, and investment and financing. Nearly 1,000 cross-sector partners from government, industry, academia, research, healthcare, and investment communities engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as the development and upgrading of innovative diagnostic and treatment solutions, trends and practices in digital healthcare, the mobile screening ecosystem, innovation incubation and acceleration, and the new enterprise empowerment ecosystem integrating industry and finance.

AstraZeneca announced at the conference that it would continue to deepen its innovation strategic layout across China, using Wuxi as a model to radiate nationwide. In the future, AstraZeneca will establish regionally specialized innovation centers in Shanghai, Beijing, Hangzhou, Guangzhou, and Chengdu, and extend the ecological model of its Life Science Innovation Parks, fostering tighter synergy and collaborative strength within the ecosystem.

At the meeting, the Wuxi Municipal People's Government and AstraZeneca,TigermedandCICCA memorandum of strategic cooperation was signed. The “Wuxi Center of the China-Europe Alumni Association for the Healthcare Industry” was also officially unveiled at the conference. (Zhang Anyu)
