Shanghai, August 3, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- Recently, Roche Pharma China announced“2018-2019 Sustainability Report”, and was honored with the “Outstanding Responsibility Report of the Year” award at the 12th China Corporate Social Responsibility Annual Conference. Since its inception in 2009, the China Corporate Social Responsibility Annual Conference has become one of the most prestigious and highly regarded events in the field of corporate social responsibility in China. This award recognizes Roche Pharma China’s efforts and achievements in advancing sustainable development within the healthcare sector. The report also fully demonstrates Roche Pharma’s commitment as a global leading biotechnology company to its development philosophy of “Rooted in China, Benefiting China,” actively giving back to society while growing its business and fulfilling its corporate social responsibilities. This marks the second consecutive year that Roche Pharma has released a sustainability report in China and received multiple sustainability awards.

As an innovation-driven healthcare company, Roche has introduced 22 products covering eight therapeutic areas to Chinese patients, ensuring timely access to innovative medicines. Furthermore, Roche has consistently collaborated with the government, medical institutions, non-governmental organizations, and other sectors of society to actively explore various innovative approaches to improving patient affordability. Since 2017, Roche has actively participated in negotiations for inclusion in the National Reimbursement Drug List (NRDL), offering significant price reductions with utmost sincerity. For example, multiple public welfare education initiatives jointly launched by Roche Pharma China, the Rehabilitation Committee of the China Anti-Cancer Association, and the Beijing Aipu Cancer Patient Care Foundation., such asPublic welfare initiatives such as “Run For Her Family” in the field of breast cancer and “Born for Beauty” in the field of lymphoma have traveled across China in recent years, actively popularizing and strengthening public education on these diseases. Community Care: Continuously Advocating for Vulnerable Groups

Notably, the "Roche Children's Charity Walk" has been held in China for ten years.
