According to media reports, Pfizer (PFE.US) will supply nearly $22.2 million worth of pharmaceuticals to the U.S. Strategic National Stockpile for the treatment of COVID-19 patients and to prepare for future emergencies. As part of a restructuring and replenishment initiative known as SNS 2.0, the Strategic National Stockpile is procuring these medications to ensure adequate supplies in the event of future public health emergencies.
It is reported that in April this year, Pfizer and the Pfizer Foundation pledged to donate $40 million in medical and charitable grants to help combat public health emergencies in the United States and around the world.
