Love It, Enjoy It Now, LetED: No More Slogging Away

With the rapid development of the social economy and an accelerated pace of life, people's "sexual well-being" index is declining. Particularly in first- and second-tier cities, due to busy work schedules and excessive stress, the number of patients with erectile dysfunction (ED) is on the rise and trending toward younger demographics. In a real-world study focusing on men with newly diagnosed ED, one-quarter of the patients were under 40 years of age, and nearly 50% of young men reported severe ED.[1]. In an online survey of 92,620 young men in China, 20.54% of men under the age of 40 had an Erection Hardness Score (EHS) of Grade I–II.[2](Grade IV: normal; Grade III: mild ED; Grade II: moderate ED; Grade I: severe ED). Erectile dysfunction (ED) has seriously affected men's health and has become a topic of common concern for many couples.

As one of the most common sexual dysfunctions in men, erectile dysfunction (ED) not only affects men’s “sexual well-being” but also impairs the work performance of male professionals. According to a multinational survey report, the percentage of Chinese men with ED experiencing work impairment due to the condition is 23.6%.[3], nearly 2.5 times that of the non-ED population. Compared with men without ED, patients with ED exhibit higher absenteeism, greater work impairment due to illness, higher overall work productivity loss, and lower health-related quality of life. Furthermore, the long-standing societal sensitivity surrounding ED and the public’s one-sided understanding of men’s health make it difficult for many ED patients to speak out, often leading them to avoid seeking medical attention proactively.

中国性学会会长、北京大学第三医院男科及人类精子库主任姜辉教授致辞
Address by Professor Jiang Hui, President of the Chinese Society of Sexual Medicine and Director of the Department of Andrology and Human Sperm Bank at Peking University Third Hospital

Professor Jiang Hui, President of the Chinese Society of Sexual Medicine and Director of the Department of Andrology and Human Sperm Bank at Peking University Third Hospital, stated: “Erectile hardness is the primary factor determining couples’ satisfaction with their sexual life and achieving a perfect sexual experience. There are many factors contributing to male erectile dysfunction (ED), often involving the simultaneous interplay of multiple causes. Excessive stress and long-term unhealthy lifestyle habits are significant triggers for ED that should not be underestimated. Currently, ED is not merely an issue of ‘sexual well-being,’ but also a ‘health concern,’ and indeed a ‘social issue’ affecting families and public welfare. We advocate for early detection and treatment of ED, addressing patients’ emotional and physiological needs with due attention, and actively seeking solutions through formal medical channels, thereby safeguarding one’s health and ensuring a satisfying sexual life.”

Oral Disintegration,ED Medication: Privacy Worry-Free

Professor Jiang Hui pointed out, "The methods for treating ED are constantly evolving, from surgical treatments to pharmacological interventions, with oral PDE5 inhibitors remaining the first-line treatment option. Meanwhile, ED patients show a stronger preference for oral medications that are convenient to take, fast-acting, and offer good privacy. This time, Viagra®The market launch of orally disintegrating tablets not only provides physicians with a first-line pharmacological option for the treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED), but also offers ED patients a safe, highly effective, and convenient new therapeutic experience. This contributes to improved patient adherence, enhances the quality of life for both patients and their partners, boosts male self-confidence, and delivers multidimensional benefits. The continuous research, development, and market introduction of therapeutic agents lay a favorable foundation for the advancement of andrology, helping more ED patients raise disease awareness and accept scientifically standardized treatment.

As the currently available product in the Chinese market that is bioequivalent to film-coated tabletsUniqueThe original PDE5 inhibitor, Viagra®Orally disintegrating tablets are easy to administer, disintegrating within seconds when placed on the tongue. They take effect in as little as 12 minutes, improving symptoms in patients with erectile dysfunction (ED) while enhancing sexual quality of life.
