Currently, China is on the verge of entering a phase of rapid population aging. This demographic shift has intensified the societal burden, particularly driving prominent demands for healthcare and daily living services. However, the existing elderly care workforce in China is far from adequate to meet the objective needs of the developing elderly care sector. The joint venture JD Yi Wei Xiang, established by JD Health and Eisai China, aims to jointly address this pressing social challenge.
Research reports indicate that the middle-aged and elderly population is gradually integrating into the internet ecosystem, becoming the primary user base for online general health services. Leveraging “Internet+” to adapt healthcare models to aging trends has emerged as a preferred strategy to alleviate the pressure on medical and health services amid population aging. Jingyi Weixiang will fully leverage the respective strengths and resources of JD Health and Eisai China, utilizing “Internet+” to promote the adaptation of healthcare models to aging trends.
