Economic Daily - China Economic Net, Beijing, November 25 — On November 23, the National Medical Products Administration website published a report on the voluntary recall by Becton Dickinson Medical Devices (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. of single-use safety IV catheters designed to prevent needlestick injuries. The recall is classified as Class III.

BD Medical Devices (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. reported that certain models and batches of products may have a "blunt needle" issue. This batch of products was not imported into China, and the recall event does not affect the Chinese market.
It is understood that the recalled products are intended for intravenous infusion and medication administration. The single-use duration of each product shall not exceed 72 hours. Within the recommended maximum flow rate range for contrast media, 18GA to 22GA catheters can be connected to high-pressure injectors, with a maximum setting pressure of up to 300 psi.
