MicroPort® Left Atrial Appendage Occluder

First Clinical Implantation Completed at Shanghai Chest Hospital


On December 10, the left atrial appendage occluder independently developed by Shanghai Zuoxin™ Medical Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of MicroPort, was successfully used in the first transcatheter left atrial appendage closure procedure at Shanghai Chest Hospital.

Zuoxin™ Medical’s left atrial appendage occluder is the only domestically available semi-occlusive, intraluminal plug-type occluder with a push-to-release delivery mechanism., its push-to-release mechanism not only addresses the clinical challenge of traditional plug-type occluders requiring deep sheath insertion into the left atrial appendage (LAA) and is suitable for shorter LAA anatomies, but also significantly enhances procedural safety and operability.

Completion of the First Clinical Study on Partial Nephrectomy


On December 8, the Toumai™ laparoscopic surgical robot system, independently developed by MicroPort MedBot (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of MicroPort, was completed at Zhejiang Provincial People's Hospital.First Case of Robot-Assisted Laparoscopic Partial Nephrectomy.

This is the first RAPN procedure performed by the domestically produced Toumai™ laparoscopic surgical robot., marking another significant clinical research milestone for the Toumai™ laparoscopic surgical robot, following its completion of China’s first radical prostatectomy (RALRP) performed by a domestically produced laparoscopic surgical robot in November last year.
