Peijia Medical-B (09996) Enters into Collaboration and Licensing Agreement with High Life SAS for Transseptal Transcatheter Mitral Valve Replacement

Zhitong Finance APP News,Peijia Medical-B(09996) announced that on December 18, 2020, the Company entered into a license agreement with HighLife SAS (“HighLife”), a French medical device company. Under this agreement, HighLife granted the Company an exclusive license for certain proprietary transcatheter mitral valve replacement (TMVR) products currently under development by the licensor. Pursuant to the agreement, the Company has the right to, among other things, manufacture, develop, and commercialize such products within the Greater China region, while HighLife is entitled to receive upfront licensing fees and subsequent milestone payments in return.

HighLife’s related products, which utilize the transseptal approach to treat patients with mitral regurgitation, are currently undergoing clinical studies in more than 20 locations worldwide. The Company believes that this collaboration represents a significant step in strengthening its structural heart product portfolio by incorporating a potential first-in-class, clinical-stage TMVR product, and expects to expand the availability of such products in the Greater China region, thereby benefiting more patients.
