NTC Grants Zhaoke Ophthalmology Exclusive Rights and Distribution for NTC014 in Asia

Milan and Hong Kong, January 8, 2021 /PRNewswire/ -- NTC (an international pharmaceutical company specializing in R&D, headquartered in Italy) and Zhaoke Ophthalmology Limited (possessing a comprehensive integrated ophthalmic platform with strong capabilities in eye care) today announced the execution of an agreement regarding the exclusive licensing and distribution rights for NTC014. NTC014 is an innovative fixed-dose combination eye drop formulation comprising a quinolone antibiotic and a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). Zhaoke Ophthalmology willMainland China, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, ASEAN countries, and South Korea for the marketing of NTC014.

NTC014 is designed to provide physicians with an optimal treatment regimen for moderate to severe bacterial conjunctivitis (a common eye infection). Currently available regimens primarily consist of combination products containing antibiotics and steroids or non-steroidal agents, without clearly defined treatment durations. As the first-in-class combination eye drop comprising an antibiotic and a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), NTC014 features an antibiotic that demonstrates excellent efficacy against the bacteria most commonly causing eye infections, while the included NSAID helps control inflammation-related signs and symptoms.
