Neuralink Plans Initial Human Trials Later This Year, Files for IPO

According to reports, Tesla CEO Elon Musk stated on Twitter that Neuralink, the startup he founded focusing on brain-computer interface technology, is in contact with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Musk said, “If all goes well, we may begin initial human trials later this year.”

Last weekend, Musk also stated in an interview: “We have successfully implanted wireless chips and ultra-fine wires into the skulls of monkeys., and it can now play video games using its thoughts.” Over the past few years, Neuralink has been conducting trials on animals.
