Novartis Dissolves Oxcarbazepine Tablet Sales Team Amid Strategic Realignment

Recently, it was reported that the sales team for Novartis' central nervous system product line, specifically oxcarbazepine tablets, has been disbanded.

Driven by market projects, most of the dissolved sales personnel have been transferred to the Cosentyx (secukinumab) team for anti-inflammatory drugs, while some have joined new product teams.

It is reported that Novartis’s oxcarbazepine tablets were not included in the volume-based procurement program, and there has been no disclosure of any plans by Novartis to divest this product line. Therefore, the company’s decision to disband the entire sales team dedicated to oxcarbazepine tablets came as a sudden surprise.
