On March 5, Yunnan Baiyao released the “Announcement on the Resolutions of the First Meeting of the Ninth Board of Directors of Yunnan Baiyao in 2021” (hereinafter referred to as the “Announcement”). According to the Announcement, upon the nomination by the Chairman and Co-Chairman, it was approved to appoint Mr. Dong Ming as the Chief Executive Officer (President) of the Company, with his term effective from the date of approval by the Board of Directors until the expiration of the Ninth Board of Directors’ term. Effective from the date of approval of this appointment, Mr. Wang Minghui will no longer serve concurrently as the Interim Chief Executive Officer of the Company but will continue to focus on fulfilling his duties as Chairman of the Board.
Announcement: Dong Ming’s ResumeDong Ming, male, born in October 1976, holds a bachelor’s degree. He previously served as Technical Engineer at Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd.; Head of Fixed Network Marketing, Xi’an Representative Office; Head of Fixed Network Product Marketing, Eastern Europe Region; Vice President, Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) Region; Head of VIP Systems Department; General Manager, Beijing Branch; Head of Mobile Systems Department; and Vice President of Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. for the China Region.According to the official website of Yunnan Baiyao, prior to assuming the role of CEO of Yunnan Baiyao Group, Mr. Dong served as Vice President of Huawei’s China Region, member of the Huawei Party Committee, representative of the Huawei Employee Shareholding Representative Assembly, professor at Huawei University, member of the Huawei Direct Sales Professional Committee, and Chief Knowledge Officer for Huawei’s China Region. He also serves as Vice Chairman of the China Virtual Reality Industry Alliance.Mr. Dong has gained extensive experience across multiple functions at Huawei, including comprehensive management, sales, product solutions, delivery and services, marketing, quality operations, and R&D representation. With ten years of overseas expatriate experience, he was among the earliest pioneers of Huawei’s overseas markets. He is a recipient of the Huawei “Heaven Rewards Diligence” Award and possesses in-depth expertise in overseas market operations, global R&D and supply chain layout, international trade and business systems, as well as substantial experience in enterprise technology empowerment and digital transformation.
According to information reviewed by YiGu, in May 2020, Dong Ming also attended the “5G Creates New Value” Industry Summit Forum hosted by Huawei, in his capacity as Vice President of Huawei China and Head of the Carrier Business Department for the China Region.
Previously, Yin Pinyao served as the President of Yunnan Baiyao. As a senior executive who rose through the ranks within the Yunnan Baiyao system, he was appointed Chief Operating Officer (COO) upon the expiration of his term on August 21, 2019, while Wang Minghui assumed the roles of Chairman and Interim CEO of Yunnan Baiyao Group Co., Ltd. According to Yunnan Baiyao’s 2019 annual report, Yin Pinyao received compensation of RMB 2.4744 million, the highest among all senior executives, followed by Yang Yong, Senior Vice President of Yunnan Baiyao, who received RMB 1.8295 million.
As of the market close on March 5, 2021, Yunnan Baiyao’s stock price stood at CNY 127.31 per share, representing a 0.64% increase, with a total market capitalization of CNY 162.626 billion. In terms of market capitalization, Yunnan Baiyao is the highest-valued A-share listed company in Yunnan Province and the only one with a market capitalization exceeding CNY 100 billion.
