(Xinmin Evening News, reporter Jin Zhigang) Recently, Ping An Healthcare and Technology Company Limited held a signing ceremony with Eli Lilly and Company, officially launching comprehensive cooperation to jointly create an innovative retail model for all products and explore a closed-loop service ecosystem integrating healthcare, patients, pharmaceuticals, and insurance. It is reported that, through this partnership, Eli Lilly is expected to introduce 40 new drugs (including new indications) to China over the next decade, making more innovative medicines accessible to Chinese patients.

At the signing ceremony, Ping An Health and Eli Lilly and Company discussed the service closed loop encompassing “medical care–patients–pharmaceuticals–insurance.” As a leading internet healthcare service platform in China, Ping An Health boasts extensive resources of partner pharmacies. As of December 31, 2020, the number of pharmacies collaborating with Ping An Health on cloud-based consultations reached 151,000, covering 32 provincial-level administrative regions and 379 cities across China, with partnerships established with over 4,000 chain pharmacy brands.Ping An Health has launched central warehouses in 51 cities across China, offering 24-hour door-to-door medication delivery.

In the future, leveraging Ping An Health’s cold-chain DTP network layout, both parties will explore collaborative models for cold-chain products and gradually implement big data and artificial intelligence technologies in clinical diagnosis and treatment, disease surveillance, scientific research, and other fields. They aim to establish a closed-loop service ecosystem encompassing online consultations, prescription outflow, chronic disease management, patient education, disease screening, and innovative payment solutions, thereby delivering tangible convenience and benefits to patients.
