Danaher Diagnostics Platform Breaks Ground on China R&D and Manufacturing Base in Suzhou

SUZHOU, China, March 31, 2021 /PRNewswire/ -- On March 30, 2021, the groundbreaking ceremony for Danaher’s Diagnostics Platform China R&D and Manufacturing Base was officially held in Suzhou Industrial Park. This marks another significant milestone following Danaher’s announcement last July to launch this strategic local investment, which is the largest single investment of its kind.

Danaher’s diagnostic platform R&D and manufacturing base in China has attracted an investment of over USD 100 million. Phase I of the project will construct a 37,000-square-meter facility, which is expected to commence operations in 2023.ThisThis marks the first time Danaher has globally integrated the production and R&D of multiple operating companies into a unified platform.

Thanks to the strong support from various partners and the favorable business environment in Suzhou Industrial Park, it took only a few months for the base to go from investment signing to groundbreaking. Liu Hua, member of the Party Working Committee and Deputy Director of the Administrative Committee of Suzhou Industrial Park, stated that Danaher Corporation’s decision to expand its presence in Suzhou Industrial Park fully demonstrates its trust and confidence in the park's investment potential.
