Takeda China Appoints Wang Rui as Head of GI Marketing; Gilead's Yu Jinyi Departs

On March 31, Takeda China announced that Rui Wang will join the company as Head of Gastroenterology Marketing, based in Shanghai.

It is reported that prior to joining Takeda China, Wang Rui served as Senior Marketing Director of the Gastroenterology Business Unit at AstraZeneca China. A graduate of China Pharmaceutical University, he has also previously held positions at Sanofi, Abbott, and Nutricia, among other companies.

In addition, on Monday of this week, Gilead Sciences announced to its employees that Yu Jinyi, former Senior Director of Hepatitis Sales, had decided to leave Gilead to pursue external opportunities, with his last working day being April 16, 2021.

It is reported that prior to joining Gilead Sciences, Yu Jinyi served as the Head of National Sales and Market Access Strategy for Novartis Pharmaceuticals’ Cosentyx. On June 15 last year, Yu Jinyi joined Gilead Sciences as Senior Director of National Sales for the Hepatitis Team, based in Shanghai.
