According to reports, NERCIS has leveraged its core technological advantages in artificial intelligence, big data, and the Internet of Things (IoT) to collaborate with its strategic partner, West China Hospital of Sichuan University, on the research project titled “Research and Application Promotion of Key Technologies for Smart Medical Consortiums.” Targeting the three primary areas of greatest concern within the smart healthcare industry—namely, “smart healthcare” for medical personnel, “smart services” for patients, and “smart management” for hospital administration—the project aims to break through key technologies such as vital signs monitoring and analysis, smart medical consortium health services, and intelligent sensor-based positioning. By doing so, it strives to construct a public service model for medical intelligence connectivity tailored to grassroots medical institutions at all levels across China, encompassing standard establishment, key technology research, and innovative product development. This initiative seeks to expand from hospital-based IoT to regional medical IoT, thereby enhancing the service capabilities of medical institutions at all levels.
As a listed company under the Chinese Academy of Sciences’ artificial intelligence sector, NERCIS has accumulated substantial long-term achievements in fields such as artificial intelligence, virtual reality, big data, and the Internet of Things (IoT). It is reported that in its smart healthcare business, the company adheres to the development philosophy of “industry-academia-research-clinical practice” and maintains a close, long-term partnership with West China Hospital of Sichuan University, which ranks among the top institutions in China for medical care and scientific research. Together, they have innovatively developed an IoT-based intelligent management platform for medical equipment, achieving significant demonstrative application and promotional impact. In the project titled “Research and Development of Key Technologies for Smart Medical Consortia and Their Application Promotion,” the company has integrated innovative products such as digital operating rooms to construct a more comprehensive smart healthcare solution. This solution is currently being implemented and demonstrated at West China Hospital of Sichuan University and is being promoted to hospitals in Sichuan, Inner Mongolia, Chongqing, Guangxi, Northeast China, and other regions. Meanwhile, the company is extensively integrating resources across the industrial chain to establish a robust ecosystem for the intelligently connected healthcare industry.
NERCIS stated that the company will continuously innovate and conduct R&D in the field of smart healthcare, while carefully cultivating and expanding an innovative team with extensive experience in R&D and achievement transformation.
