On April 26, media reports cited informed sources as saying that Sanofi’s Indian subsidiary is in advanced negotiations to sell part of its over-the-counter (OTC) pharmaceutical business.

Sanofi’s India unit is reportedly considering the sale of its nutrition and vitamins business, with an estimated valuation of ₹6 billion. Piramal Enterprises Ltd is currently conducting due diligence, while Dr Reddy’s Laboratories has also expressed interest in the deal.

A spokesperson for Piramal Enterprises declined to comment, and neither Sanofi nor Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories provided a response.
