Shanghai, May 10 (CNS) – FUSUN AITROX and GE Healthcare recently announced a joint initiative to promote women’s health solutions, focusing on AI-powered mobile screening units for the two major cancers affecting women—automated breast ultrasound system (ABUS) for breast cancer and cervical cancer screening. The partnership aims to enhance education for both healthcare professionals and patients. Through a series of public welfare campaigns, including Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the “Pink Action” and “Rural Female Teachers” initiatives under the women’s health banner, the collaboration will conduct outreach on the prevention and control of female-specific diseases, facilitate the decentralization of high-quality medical resources, and safeguard women’s health.

According to the introduction, this collaboration specifically includes jointly developing smart AI mobile medical vehicles by integrating technologies such as 5G, cloud imaging, and AI; co-developing and customizing AI products in fields such as ultrasound, cardiovascular care, stroke, and oncology, guided by clinical needs; and collaborating on the development of “Smart Hospital” applications and solutions to achieve deep integration between FUSUN AITROX’s artificial intelligence applications and GE Healthcare’s Edison digital health intelligence platform.

FUSUN AITROX has been committed to safeguarding women's health through the power of technology. By integrating its independently developed cutting-edge technologies and adopting a user-centric approach, the company has established a closed-loop, full-cycle diagnostic and therapeutic service covering "early screening, diagnosis, intraoperative treatment, and follow-up." Through comprehensive solutions such as "two-cancer" screening, integrated diagnosis and treatment of lung tumors, and smart cardiovascular diagnosis and treatment, FUSUN AITROX covers the roles of "physician assistant, early screening assistant, and surgical assistant," truly delivering the benefits of technology to women's health.

He Chuan, Global Partner of Fosun and Chairman of FUSUN AITROX, stated that the company aims to combine GE Healthcare’s strengths in medical device manufacturing, R&D, and healthcare informatics with Fosun’s advantages in medical equipment, healthcare services, medical diagnostics, smart healthcare, and big health investment. Together, they will explore integrated intelligent healthcare service solutions covering “diagnosis, treatment, screening, and rehabilitation,” so as to promote technological innovation and clinical application in China’s big health sector and foster a new ecosystem for development in this field.

Yan Hua, Vice President of GE Healthcare China and Chief Marketing Officer, pointed out that digitalization and intelligence are becoming trends in the development of the healthcare industry. In the field of women's health, based on leading products and services, GE Healthcare is applying more innovative technologies to clinical practice through a win-win cooperation strategy, building integrated diagnostic and treatment capabilities. At the same time, we will also empower the construction of smart healthcare and smart hospitals, allowing digital medical solutions to benefit more female patients and provide them with convenient and efficient healthcare experiences. Having accompanied China’s healthcare industry for over 40 years, GE Healthcare hopes to work together with Chinese partners to bring truly useful tools to clinical practice, better care for women, and serve the health of the entire population.

Addressing high-risk diseases prevalent among women, FUSUN AITROX strives to promote the widespread application of medical resources at the primary care level. Currently, the "intelligent analysis + internet-based cloud cervical cancer screening new technology" has been deployed in population screening under poverty alleviation projects implemented by national, provincial, municipal, and county-level governments in nearly dozens of provinces and cities, including Beijing, Shandong, and Hebei. Meanwhile, in Bachu County, a remote area in Xinjiang, FUSUN AITROX has established a one-stop closed-loop service model for cervical cancer screening. This model leverages primary healthcare institutions as the foundational service network, city and county hospitals as the main service providers, and is supported by professional medical resources from provincial hospitals and third-party laboratories, along with artificial intelligence technologies. It is expected that by the end of 2021, early screening and diagnosis for cervical cancer will be provided to millions of individuals, thereby facilitating the implementation of tiered diagnosis and treatment and safeguarding the health of women at the grassroots level.

In the future, FUSUN AITROX and GE Healthcare will base themselves on the needs of the Chinese market to achieve multi-faceted and extensive cooperation in “industry, academia, research, healthcare, and investment,” accelerating the creation of a new landscape for China’s smart health ecosystem.
