Reuters, August 7: Elon Musk’s brain-computer interface company, Neuralink, raised $280 million in a funding round led by Founders Fund, the venture capital firm under Peter Thiel. In May this year, Neuralink’s first-in-human clinical trial received approval from the U.S. FDA.
Neuralink did not disclose its valuation in this round of financing. Reuters previously reported in June that the company was valued at approximately $5 billion after privately completing stock transactions.
