Recently,Fosun PharmaceuticalIn its announcement, it stated that the biosimilar drug pertuzumab injection (Class 3.3 new drug) developed by its controlling subsidiary, Shanghai Henlius Biotech, Inc., has received approval for market launch. Pertuzumab injection is a top-eight anti-tumor biologic product, with sales exceeding RMB 2.8 billion in 2025 across China’s three major terminals and six key markets. Fosun Pharmaceutical has become one of the top five biologic pharmaceutical groups (Tier 1), and the approval of this blockbuster new product is expected to further enhance the group’s competitiveness.

Roche’s pertuzumab injection first entered the Chinese market in 2018. In December 2024, Qilu Pharmaceutical and CHIATAI TIANQING simultaneously received approval for their Class 3.3 biologic new drugs on the same day.Betta PharmaceuticalsIn February 2026, it became the third domestically approved manufacturer of this product; this time, Fosun Pharmaceutical has been approved as the fourth domestic group to obtain approval for this product.

# In China’s Three Major Terminals and Six Major Markets (see end of text for statistical scope), sales of pertuzumab injection remained above RMB 3 billion from 2021 to 2024, declining to RMB 2.8 billion in 2025. As domestic brands successively entered the market, Roche’s market share began to decline, falling to 81.50% in 2025.

In 2025, the market size of biological drugs in China’s three major terminals and six major markets exceeded RMB 250 billion, indicating substantial market potential. Fosun Pharmaceutical ranked among the top five groups (Tier 1). In recent years, the Group’s biological drug segment has experienced sustained explosive growth, with sales revenue surpassing RMB 8 billion in 2025.

In 2025, Fosun Pharmaceutical’s top five biopharmaceutical products collectively generated over RMB 7.6 billion in revenue. The Group’s best-selling biologic was Trastuzumab for Injection, with sales rising to RMB 3.25 billion in 2025. Sales of the Group’s Rituximab Injection increased by 16.33% in 2025, exceeding RMB 2.4 billion. Serplulimab Injection, the Group’s Class 1 innovative drug, recorded consecutive growth rates of 816.45%, 70.07%, and 9.70% over the past three years, with its 2025 sales surpassing RMB 1.3 billion for the first time.

Pertuzumab Injection is the first biologic drug approved for Fosun Pharmaceutical this year. The announcement stated that, as of April 2026, the Group’s cumulative R&D investment in this product amounted to approximately RMB 232 million (unaudited).

Data from Menet shows that since 2025, Fosun Pharmaceutical has had four new biologic drugs under review for marketing approval. Among these, the Group’s brexucabtagene autoleucel injection, semaglutide injection, and denosumab injection are expected to receive their initial approvals.
