Recently, Hangzhou MARIX Medical Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “MARIX”)Announced the completion of tens of millions of yuan in Series A financing, with this round jointly funded by Hetang Venture Capital and Anji Industrial Fund. The funds raised will continue to support the clinical validation of MARIX’s core products, such as coronary vessel remodeling catheters. Meanwhile, the company will further increase its R&D investment, guided by the “intervention without implantation” philosophy, to launch more original medical device products addressing the clinical treatment needs of vascular diseases.

MARIX, founded in 2021 and headquartered in Hangzhou Future Sci-Tech City, is the first national high-tech enterprise in the industry dedicated to intravascular photochemical cross-linking technology. Adhering to the philosophy of “intervention without implantation,” the company focuses on the research, development, and manufacturing of innovative medical devices in the field of vascular intervention.Pioneering a China-specific solution based on the synergy between optical and vascular therapies, with a product portfolio that includes coronary vessel remodeling catheters (NVS series), intracranial laser balloon dilation catheters (PBM series), and occlusion hemostasis devices.
Amid an increasingly stringent investment climate in the healthcare sector, MARIX continues to attract strong capital interest. Following tens of millions of RMB in angel financing in 2022 and tens of millions of RMB in Pre-A round financing in 2023, MARIX has once again secured investment from renowned institutions in its Series A round, fully demonstrating its robust strength and significant potential in the field of vascular intervention.
Meanwhile, MARIX is rapidly advancing multiple product lines. In June 2024, its intracranial balloon dilation catheter received NMPA approval; in January 2025, the coronary papillary balloon dilation catheter also successfully obtained NMPA certification, immediately ushering in a new chapter of commercial sales. Furthermore, core products including the coronary vessel remodeling catheter and the intracranial laser balloon dilation catheter have both entered the clinical follow-up stage, while the arterial occlusion hemostatic device has completed the supplemental submission process. These achievements not only highlight MARIX’s efficiency in product development and regulatory registration but also lay a solid foundation for its continued R&D and in-depth market positioning in the future.
In 2025, MARIX will continue to focus on the field of vascular intervention, dedicated to continuously launching innovative medical device products with significant clinical value, promoting the development of vascular intervention technology, and providing safer and more effective solutions for the treatment of patients with vascular diseases.
Regarding the Two Core Production Lines:
1、NVS Series Products:Natural Vascular Scaffolding (NVS) therapy is a novel photochemical cross-linking technique that utilizes light-activated smart materials to promote covalent bonding with amino acids of extracellular matrix (ECM) proteins in the vessel wall. This process rapidly constructs a natural vascular micro-scaffold at the site of vascular injury, thereby facilitating in situ self-healing and repair, reducing elastic recoil, and leaving no foreign bodies after balloon withdrawal, thus truly achieving “intervention without implantation.” This technology can be widely applied in scenarios involving coronary arteries, peripheral vessels, neurovascular structures, and natural lumens, providing patients with a novel clinical therapeutic pathway for vascular injury repair.
2、PBM Series Products: Photobiomodulation (PBM) therapy, which utilizes biocompatible tissue-penetrating light to interact with intracellular chromophores and modulate cellular and tissue functions, has emerged as a promising non-invasive approach for tissue regeneration. PBM acts directly on cells to promote the adhesion and proliferation of endothelial cells, accelerate intimal repair, and reduce smooth muscle cell hyperplasia.
Dr. Ji Peihong, Founder of MARIX, stated: “We extend our sincere gratitude to Hetang Venture Capital and the Anji Industrial Fund for their strong support. This not only represents recognition of our team but also affirms the product R&D direction we have consistently pursued. We will remain true to our original mission, further increase R&D investment, and launch more innovative products tailored to the clinical needs of vascular disease treatment. We also thank our existing shareholders, Taiyu Investment and Yisheng Co., Ltd., as well as our partners, for their trust and support. Finally, we appreciate every dedicated member of the MARIX team for their hard work.”
Liu Huiqin, Managing Director of Hetang Venture Capital, stated that MARIX currently has multiple products, including the coronary vessel remodeling catheter, successively entering clinical trial stages, demonstrating the team’s strong capabilities in scientific research innovation and translational implementation. Notably, MARIX’s coronary vessel remodeling catheter, currently in clinical trials, is the first globally to apply photochemical reactions to the treatment of coronary stenosis. We have high expectations for this innovative and somewhat revolutionary product.
Anji Industrial Fund stated: "In today's era of rapid global advancement in medical technology, the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases remain a key focus in the medical field. The MARIX team has continuously broken conventions in the field of cardiovascular interventional products, achieving critical breakthroughs in multiple original technologies. These advancements have significantly enhanced the performance and safety of cardiovascular interventional products, setting a benchmark for industry development. In the future, we will continue to act as 'patient capital,' leveraging industrial fund investments to fully support MARIX in product research and development, clinical promotion, manufacturing, and market expansion."
