Neuralink Launches First International Clinical Trial in Abu Dhabi for Brain-Computer Interface

Brain-Computer Interface System Developer

Neuralink Corp., the brain-chip company led by Elon Musk, announced plans to launch its first clinical trial in the Middle East. The company stated on social media that the trial would investigate “how individuals with motor and speech impairments can use thought to control devices and communicate.” Neuralink indicated that the trial would be conducted at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi in collaboration with the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi. The company also revealed that it has already implanted the device in three patients and is seeking additional participants globally to further expand the scope of the trial.
