On May 14, a drug approval notice issued by the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) indicated that CF PharmTech's Budesonide Inhalation Suspension has been granted a new drug approval number, signifying its official approval in China.

It is reported that Budesonide Inhalation Suspension is an inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) with potent local anti-inflammatory effects. Administered via nebulizer, it is indicated for the treatment of bronchial asthma, and can serve as an alternative to or reduce the need for oral corticosteroid therapy, particularly when corticosteroid administration via other routes is unsuitable.

Budesonide Inhalation Suspension was originally developed and manufactured by AstraZeneca, approved in the UK in April 1991, under the brand name: Pulmicort.®Respules®, with strengths of 2 mL:0.5 mg and 2 mL:1 mg; it was approved in the United States in August 2000, and subsequently approved in other European countries, Australia, and Japan. CF PharmTech stated that its independently developed budesonide inhalation suspension has passed the consistency evaluation of generic drugs.
