Data from Menet indicates that global sales of Pfizer's Sunitinib Malate Capsules exceeded USD 800 million in 2020. In 2020, the combined sales of sunitinib capsules at terminals of urban public hospitals, county-level public hospitals, urban community centers, and township health centers in China (hereinafter referred to as Chinese public medical institutions) and at urban physical pharmacy terminals in China surpassed RMB 600 million. Among these, urban physical pharmacy terminals recorded the fastest growth, with a year-on-year increase of nearly 70%.
Currently, there are five manufacturers of Sunitinib Malate Capsules. Among them, four domestic pharmaceutical enterprises, including CSPC Ouyi Pharmaceutical, Hunan Kelun Pharmaceutical, and Chia Tai Tianqing Pharmaceutical Group Co., Ltd., have all been approved as Class 4 generics and are deemed to have passed the consistency evaluation. Additionally, the Class 4 generic marketing application for Sunitinib Malate Capsules submitted by Qilu Pharmaceutical (Hainan) is currently under review and approval at the Center for Drug Evaluation (CDE).
