Yangtze River Pharmaceutical, Chia Tai Tianqing and Others Secure Approval for Fifth-Generation National Drug Centralized Procurement Products

The National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) released the information on pharmaceutical approval documents available for collection on May 31. According to a review by reporters, eight of these are products from the fifth national centralized volume-based procurement program, involving 10 companies, including well-known pharmaceutical firms such as Qilu, Yangtze River Pharmaceutical, and Chia Tai Tianqing, as well as multinational pharmaceutical company Pfizer.

The drug varieties from the fifth batch of centralized procurement that passed the consistency evaluation this time are: Esomeprazole Sodium for Injection, Ceftriaxone Sodium for Injection, Paclitaxel Injection, Iodixanol Injection, Cefazolin Sodium for Injection, Fluconazole and Sodium Chloride Injection, Azithromycin for Injection, and Linezolid and Glucose Injection.

Among them, three pharmaceutical companies passed the consistency evaluation for Esomeprazole Sodium for Injection in this round, namely Suzhou Teray Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., Yangtze River Pharmaceutical Group Co.,Ltd., and Hainan Zhongyu Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.

Currently, a cumulative total of 13 pharmaceutical companies have passed the consistency evaluation for esomeprazole sodium. In addition to the three aforementioned companies, others include Chia Tai Tianqing, Aosaikang, Langtian Pharmaceutical, Haisco, the originator AstraZeneca, Laimei Pharmaceutical, Sailong Pharmaceutical, Chia Tai Fenghai, Yuxin Pharmaceutical, and Fu'an Pharmaceutical.

Ceftriaxone Sodium for Injection has passed the consistency evaluation for two pharmaceutical companies, namely Sinopharm Zhijun (Shenzhen) Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. and Hainan Hailing Chemical Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. Currently, ten pharmaceutical companies have entered the market for this product. In addition to the two aforementioned companies, the list also includes the originator Roche, Runze Pharmaceutical, Jincheng Jinsu Pharmaceutical, CSPC Zhongnuo Pharmaceutical, Peking University Pharmaceutical, Kelun Pharmaceutical, Qilu Pharmaceutical, and Chengdu Biot.

Paclitaxel Injection also saw two pharmaceutical companies pass the consistency evaluation this time, namely Wuxi Zishan Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. and Pfizer.
