Roche announced that China's National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) has officially approved its PD-L1 antibody atezolizumab (brand name: Tecentriq) in combination with pemetrexed and platinum-based chemotherapy for the first-line treatment of patients with metastatic non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) who are negative for epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) mutations and anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK). This approval marks the third indication for atezolizumab in the field of lung cancer.
This approval is based on the results from the global and Chinese cohorts of the IMpower132 clinical trial.
