GSK Establishes National Commercial Operations Center in Shanghai, Expanding Its Strategic Footprint in China

SHANGHAI, July 5, 2021 /PRNewswire/ -- GlaxoSmithKline (hereinafter referred to as "GSK"), a globally leading multinational healthcare company, announced the establishment of its China Commercial Operations Center in Pudong, Shanghai, which officially commenced operations recently. The establishment of the China Commercial Operations Center is a key strategic initiative for GSK China's continued development and an innovative measure in its business model transformation. Located in Zhangjiang, Pudong, this commercial operations center will integrate core functions including the import, procurement, distribution, and settlement of GSK China’s prescription medicines. By optimizing and streamlining import and distribution operations, it will reduce management costs and enhance import efficiency, thereby enabling GSK’s high-quality, innovative imported prescription drugs to reach more patients in China more rapidly and efficiently.
