Recently, Beijing Leadinno Medical Valley Technology Development Co., Ltd. ("Leadinno Medical Valley") announced the completion of a Pre-A financing round worth tens of millions of RMB. The round was led by China Growth Capital, with follow-on participation from Med-Fine Capital and Huagai Capital, and continued additional investment from CO-WIN Ventures, the lead investor in the angel round. The completion of this financing will accelerate the company's progress in key areas such as R&D team expansion, product patent applications, and regulatory registrations.

Founded in June 2016, Beijing Leadinno Medical Valley has appointed Academician Han Jisheng, a pioneer in China’s neuromodulation field, and Professor Fan Bifa, a leading academic authority in Chinese pain medicine, as its Chief Scientists. Leveraging an innovative wireless implantable neuroelectrical stimulation technology platform as its entry point, the company is dedicated to providing innovative solutions for implantable neuroelectrical stimulation therapy to patients with functional neurological disorders worldwide. The company’s first product to market will be China’s first and only independently developed wireless implantable spinal cord stimulation (SCS) device, specifically indicated for chronic pain.

Mr. Xu Tianrui, Founder and CEO of Leadinno Medical Valley, stated that neuromodulation technology holds exceptionally broad application prospects. Modalities such as spinal cord stimulation (SCS), deep brain stimulation (DBS), and vagus nerve stimulation (VNS) address a multi-billion-dollar market across multiple therapeutic indications, including chronic pain, primary Parkinson's disease, major depressive disorder, Alzheimer's disease, refractory epilepsy, arthritis, urinary dysfunction, and inflammatory bowel disease. Currently, implantable neuromodulation devices have been clinically validated and have emerged as one of the most effective treatment modalities in this field.

However, existing products on the market still exhibit limitations in terms of patient out-of-pocket costs, comfort, and physicians' learning curves. To provide patients with a more comfortable treatment experience and more effective therapeutic outcomes, while enhancing healthcare convenience, the independent R&D team at Leadinno Medical Valley, in collaboration with Academician Han Jisheng's team, has leveraged extensive clinical resources and taken clinical needs as its starting point to develop an innovative wireless energy-carrying neuromodulation technology platform.

Wireless-powered implantable devices significantly reduce patients' financial burden while greatly enhancing patient comfort; the innovative technology shortens the learning curve for physicians, enabling doctors at primary-level hospitals to master the surgical techniques, thereby allowing more patients to access optimized treatment options. Additionally, Xu Tianrui emphasized that Leadinno Medical Valley's product portfolio targets the expansive neuromodulation sector. Following its entry into spinal cord stimulation (SCS), the company will rapidly expand into deep brain stimulation (DBS), vagus nerve stimulation (VNS), and other areas, thereby establishing a comprehensive product line. Finally, Xu Tianrui expressed gratitude to the investors in this funding round for their endorsement of the company, expressing confidence that with capital backing, Leadinno Medical Valley will accelerate the market launch of its wireless-powered implantable devices.

Su Zhonghe, Managing Director of Med-Fine Capital, noted that neurostimulation technology delivers uniquely promising therapeutic effects for many chronic refractory diseases that are challenging to manage with conventional treatments. However, traditional active implantable neurostimulation systems, constrained by the market dominance of imported brands, high technological barriers, prohibitive pricing, and unavoidable long-term implantation complications, have left very few patients in China with actual access to these benefits. The next-generation wireless implantable neurostimulation platform, independently developed by Leadinno Medical Valley, features a battery-free design that significantly reduces treatment costs and surgical complexity, enhances patient compliance, minimizes complications associated with active implantable devices, and simplifies long-term maintenance. Furthermore, it holds great promise in addressing numerous unmet clinical needs across a broader spectrum of refractory chronic diseases, pioneering novel therapeutic avenues and reshaping the treatment landscape, making its potential highly anticipated.
