SINGAPORE, July 22, 2021 /PRNewswire/ -- As one of the world's largest Italian biopharmaceutical companies, A. Menarini Asia-Pacific Holdings Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of Menarini Group, today announced the completion in China of Eli Lilly and Company's Cialis®(Cialis®) acquisition of the brand. Through this acquisition, Menarini will assume ownership of the brand and be responsible for all its sales, marketing, and distribution operations.

Cialis®First approved by the European Medicines Agency in 2002, it was subsequently approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 2003 and the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) of China in 2005, respectively, followed by approvals in over 120 other countries.

Acquisition of Cialis®Following this, Menarini will strategically expand its market presence across retail, e-commerce, and hospital channels to achieve its growth targets in the world's second-largest healthcare market. In addition to men's health, Menarini also focuses on other key therapeutic areas, including dermatology, respiratory and anti-allergy, cardiovascular, gastroenterology, pain management, consumer health, oncology, and anti-infectives.
