On August 5, Anpac Bio-Medical Science Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “ANPAC BiO”, ANPC.US) officially entered into a partnership with Roche. Guided by a shared patient-first philosophy, both parties will deeply integrate their respective strengths to jointly explore innovative healthcare solutions and pioneer an innovative collaboration model focused on early screening, early diagnosis, and early treatment across various disease areas.
According to WHO data, the global cancer patient population was approximately 135 million in 2020, with China's patient population exceeding 32 million. Currently, there are approximately 20 million new cancer cases globally each year, including about 4.7 million in China. This substantial patient population has driven the rapid development of a massive market for early cancer screening and companion diagnostics.
ANPAC Bio and Roche will join hands to jointly explore and advance collaboration in the fields of early screening, early diagnosis, and early treatment. Targeting the healthy population in China, the two companies will collaboratively develop personalized medical product portfolios or service chains that integrate cancer early screening, clinical diagnosis, and precision medication guidance. By leveraging their respective channels and resources, they will form competitive product and service offerings to enhance the accessibility of innovative diagnostic methods. Furthermore, they will jointly commit to improving affordability, enabling more customers to access innovative products, high-quality healthcare services, and comprehensive payment coverage.
According to the introduction, ANPAC BiO will integrate its CDA cancer risk assessment testing technology with the companion diagnostic FoundationOne CDx product to establish a closed-loop service spanning the entire cancer lifecycle. Upon completion of the CDA cancer risk assessment, users identified as "above-threshold" will receive comprehensive follow-up guidance on precision medication.
Dr. Yu Chang, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of ANPAC BiO, stated, “Through a strong partnership with Roche, we aim to provide users with integrated innovative healthcare solutions, vertically integrate the upstream and downstream of our business, establish a full-lifecycle oncology service system, and contribute to the advancement of China’s healthcare sector.”
