Amgen's PDE4 Inhibitor Apremilast Nears Approval in China for Psoriasis Treatment

According to a public notice from China's National Medical Products Administration (NMPA), the review status for Amgen's apremilast tablets (apremilast, trade name: Otezla) new drug application has been updated to: Under Approval, with the drug expected to be approved in the near future. Publicly available information indicates that apremilast was previously included in the first batch of the list of overseas new drugs urgently needed for clinical use, and its marketing application has been included in the Priority Review program by the NMPA's Center for Drug Evaluation (CDE) for the indication of psoriasis.
