China Securities Network News (Reporter: Wu Yong) Fosun Pharmaceutical announced on the evening of August 17 that Axicabtagene Ciloleucel Injection (brand name: Yikaida) from Fosun Kite, an investee of the company, has been included in the Breakthrough Therapy Designation program for the treatment of relapsed or refractory indolent non-Hodgkin lymphoma (r/r iNHL), including follicular lymphoma (FL) and marginal zone lymphoma (MZL), in patients who have received two or more prior lines of systemic therapy.

The Company stated that, as of that date, apart from Yikaida, no other CAR-T cell therapy products have been approved for marketing in China. Prior to the commercialization in China of the indication for this product that has been included in the Breakthrough Therapy Designation Program, it still requires (primarily including) obtaining marketing approval, among other conditions.
