Shanghai Adjusts Agreement Procurement Prices for Gefitinib Tablets and Bortezomib for Injection

China Economic Net, August 19 (Reporter Han Lu) The Shanghai Municipal Centralized Pharmaceutical Bidding and Procurement Management Office issued two notices on drug price adjustments on August 17 and 18, respectively: the agreed procurement prices for one specification of gefitinib tablets and five specifications of bortezomib for injection have been adjusted. The involved companies include AstraZeneca, Chia Tai Tianqing, and Jiangsu Hansoh, among others.

The notice states:

According to the 《Shanghai Centralized Drug Procurement Document》 (Document No.: SH-DL2021-1) and the 《Notice on Publishing the Selection Results of the Shanghai Centralized Drug Procurement (SH-DL2021-1)》 (Hu Yao Shi Yao Pin [2021] No. 58), the agreed procurement price for gefitinib tablets covered by the municipal medical insurance payment is hereby adjusted.

In accordance with the requirements of the 《Notice on Effectively Implementing the Centralized Procurement and Use of Drugs in the Fourth Batch Organized by the State in This Municipality》（Hu Yibao Jiacai Fa [2021〕 No. 12）, some enterprises hereby voluntarily adjust the agreed procurement price of the non-winning high-priced contracted drug bortezomib involved in the Fourth Batch of National Centralized Drug Procurement.

The aforementioned price adjustments shall all take effect on August 20.
