Braun Medical (Shanghai) International Trading Co., Ltd. reported that, due to an issue involving specific models and batches of products where foam or glue residue was found on the suture needles after removal from the packaging, B. Braun Surgical S.A. has initiated a voluntary recall of the absorbable surgical suture Monosyn Synthetic absorbable surgical suture (Registration Certificate Nos.: Guo Xie Zhu Jin 20193021757, Guo Shi Yao Jian Xie (Jin) Zi 2014 No. 3652889). The recall is classified as Class II.
