BEIJING, Sept. 3, 2021 /PRNewswire/ -- On Sept. 3, 2021, at the Beijing Day of the 2021 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) and the thematic event marking the first anniversary of the "Two Zones" development, Danaher, a global innovator in science and technology, signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Government of Shunyi District, Beijing, to jointly advance the local production of Pall's single-use biopharmaceutical technologies.This collaboration between the two parties will serve as a positive catalyst for driving regional employment, promoting local economic development, and fostering the clustered development of upstream and downstream industries.

BasisUnder the strategic cooperation agreement signed between Danaher and the Shunyi District Government, Danaher will invest $60 million to expand the production capacity at the Pall Shunyi production base. Meanwhile, leveraging the China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) as an opportunity, the Shunyi District Government will continuously optimize the business environment and provide industrial policy support to facilitate the rapid expansion of Pall's operations in Shunyi District. The Pall Shunyi production base capacity expansion project has been listed as a "Key Project for Beijing's 'Two Zones' Construction".
Gong Zongyuan, Deputy Secretary of the Shunyi District Party Committee and District Mayor, and Li Bing, President of Danaher Life Sciences China, jointly completed the signing ceremony. During the event, Gao Peng, Secretary of the Shunyi District Party Committee, and District Mayor Gong Zongyuan were briefed on the company's product research and development and production line expansion. They welcomed Danaher's commitment to establishing a firm presence in Shunyi, leveraging its multifaceted advantages in talent, technology, and platforms to drive the district's industrial transformation and upgrading. In April this year, Pall China’s single-use technology production base in Shunyi District, Beijing, officially commenced operations. As the first single-use technology manufacturing facility established in Asia by Pall Group under Danaher’s Life Sciences platform, it aims to leverage Pall’s advanced production capacity and technology, along with its extensive expertise in single-use systems, to accelerate the time-to-market for vaccines and biologics. From facility acquisition to the shipment of the first batch of products, the Pall project team applied the Danaher Business System (DBS) methodology, completing the site selection, design, construction, validation, and commissioning of a high-grade cleanroom spanning over 1,000 square meters in less than four months. The facility features the highest-standard cleanroom among comparable production lines in China, and its initial shipment is entirely dedicated to supplying China’s COVID-19 vaccine programs.
