Leiphone(WeChat Official Account: Leiphone)News: Recently, Medtronic's Indian subsidiary officially announced a strategic partnership with Stasis Health, a subsidiary of medical technology company Stasis Labs.
According to Leiphone, the collaborative project between the two parties is a connected bedside multi-parameter patient monitoring system, with specific application scenarios including emergency intensive care units (EICUs), surgical intensive care units (SICUs), high-dependency units (HDUs), step-down units, and private wards. According to Leiphone, a single monitor can simultaneously track the vital signs of six critically ill patients. Monitoring can be conducted directly via a tablet interface or remotely through the Stasis application. Furthermore, patient data can be accessed on any device via a cloud platform, enabling patient transfers to different care areas based on 24-hour vital sign trend data and AI-driven proactive alerts.
The Stasis Monitor utilizes predictive artificial intelligence technology to autonomously monitor and record critical patient information, and has been approved by the U.S. FDA. Medtronic stated that adding this platform to its product portfolio will expand its capacity to deliver in-hospital patient care, while enabling physicians to remotely and continuously monitor the status of critically ill patients.
A few days ago, Madan R Krishnan, Managing Director of Medtronic India, posted on social media that this is a defining moment, as the Medtronic India team has officially partnered with Stasis Health. "This marks Medtronic's first partnership in India, and we are honored to provide solutions that are entirely made in India, aligning with the 'Make in India' vision. The system can transform any hospital into a smart hospital within hours and help improve care efficiency in the post-pandemic world."
Dinesh Seemakurty, Co-Founder of Stasis, added: “This partnership marks a significant milestone in Stasis’s mission to make internet-based care monitoring solutions more accessible to everyone. We are delighted to collaborate with Medtronic to jointly digitize more hospitals and care facilities across India. We believe this will further bridge the gap between physicians and patients, while enhancing care delivery and reducing face-to-face contact between caregivers and patients.”
