MSD establishes branch in Chongqing

Recently, MSD, a Fortune Global 500 company, completed its business registration in Yuzhong District, Chongqing, establishing MSD (China) Investment, Chongqing Branch.

Public records show that MSD is a globally leading biopharmaceutical company founded in 1891 and listed on the New York Stock Exchange in 1946. Ranked 217th on the Fortune Global 500 list, MSD has been dedicated to the biopharmaceutical field for over 130 years, consistently committed to providing innovative health solutions through medicines, vaccines, biologic therapies, and animal health products.

MSD officially entered China in 1992, becoming one of the earliest multinational pharmaceutical companies to establish a presence in the country. In 1994, MSD partnered with Huadong Medicine, then the largest pharmaceutical enterprise in Zhejiang Province, to form Hangzhou MSD Pharmaceutical, marking the first step in its strategic expansion into the Chinese market.
