Hao Hai Bio-Tech (06826): Henan Universe's Preloaded Aspheric Intraocular Lens Receives Medical Device Registration Approval

Zhitong Finance APP reports that Haohai Biological Technology (06826) announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Henan Universe Intraocular Lens Research Co., Ltd. ("Henan Universe"), recently received two “Medical Device Registration Modification Approval” documents from the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) regarding its foldable intraocular lens products, respectively adding the pre-loaded aspheric intraocular lens model (P-PCF60/A) and the intraocular lens models (PCF60/L, PCF60/AL) suitable for a broader patient population, particularly those with high myopia and high hyperopia.

It is reported that the newly added P-PCF60/A model is China's first approved preloaded hydrophilic aspheric intraocular lens. Compared with traditional non-preloaded intraocular lenses, this product facilitates cataract surgical procedures, reduces operative time, and enables standardized surgical operations. During the procedure, medical personnel do not directly handle the intraocular lens, thereby reducing the risk of surgical contamination.

The newly added PCF60/L and PCF60/AL models are the intraocular lenses produced in China with the widest approved optical power range. The introduction of these products expands the company’s intraocular lens power range and overall diameter, better addressing the needs of patients with high myopia, high hyperopia, and capsular bag laxity. This provides surgeons with a broader range of options and expands the clinical application scenarios for the products.
