On May 27, Hengrui Pharma and U.S.-based Kailera Therapeutics (Kailera) jointly announced that the Phase III clinical trial (OUTSTAND-1) of the oral small-molecule GLP-1 receptor agonist HRS-7535 (known as KAI-7535 outside Greater China), conducted in 284 adult patients with type 2 diabetes in China, has achieved positive top-line results.
2) AusperBio Announces Phase II Clinical Data for Hepatitis B Oligonucleotide Therapy
On May 27, AusperBio announced that at the 2026 European Association for the Study of the Liver (EASL) Congress, it presented the end-of-follow-up data from its Phase 2 clinical study of AHB-137, an independently developed antisense oligonucleotide (ASO) drug, in treatment-naïve patients with chronic hepatitis B (CHB) (AB-10-8008). The results showed that AHB-137 demonstrated potent and durable antiviral activity in treatment-naïve CHB patients, achieving a functional cure (FC) rate of 70% in the population with baseline HBsAg levels of 100–1000 IU/mL, while the overall safety profile was consistent with expectations.
3) InnoCare's Orelabrutinib Approved for Marketing by Australia's Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA)
On May 27, InnoCare announced that its independently developed BTK inhibitor orelabrutinib has been approved for marketing by the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) for the treatment of adult patients with relapsed/refractory mantle cell lymphoma (r/rMCL).
