In 2024, after this therapeutic drug was launched and marketed in the United States, Yuhan secureda $60 million payment; last year, it successively received milestone payments of $15 million triggered by the Japanese market and $45 million from the Chinese market.。(Several major markets have cumulatively achieved USD 150 million in market approval milestones)



On May 20, 2026, U.S.-based Gilead Sciences expanded its collaboration with South Korean integrated pharmaceutical company Yuhan, with both parties entering into an active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) supply agreement valued at KRW 210 billion (approximately USD 140 million). Specific details regarding the supplied products were not disclosed.


The agreement remains valid through the end of 2027, with relevant information disclosed this week via a regulatory announcement (in Korean) on the Korea Exchange (KRX).


The transaction value accounts for 9.6% of Yuhan's 2025 revenue. Yuhan operates two API manufacturing facilities in South Korea and is experiencing rapid business growth, with its overseas sales in the first quarter of 2026 increasing by 21% year-on-year.

Gilead and Yuhan have previously engaged in multiple API CDMO collaborations.
