(Shanghai, China, May 28, 2026) Recently, Fosun Pharmaceutical (600196.SH; 02196.HK) announced that it will invest a total of approximately RMB 414 million through its controlling subsidiary, Shanghai Fosun Pharmaceutical Industry Development Co., Ltd., to participate in the Series B financing and equity transfer transaction of Suzhou Hepa Thera Biotech Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Hepa Thera"). The total amount of this financing round and equity transfer exceeds RMB 630 million. Upon completion of all transactions, Fosun Pharmaceutical is expected to hold approximately a 20.87% equity stake in Hepa Thera, further deepening its strategic layout in the liver disease treatment sector.

Hepa Thera is a product platform company focused on the development of innovative therapies for liver diseases, incubated and majority-controlled by the Fosun Health Capital New Drug Fund, which was co-established by Fosun Pharmaceutical. Its core pipeline, a combination regimen of HT-101 (siRNA) and HT-102 (neutralizing antibody), aims to achieve a functional cure for chronic hepatitis B (CHB) through an innovative combination therapeutic strategy. This combination therapy has been granted Breakthrough Therapy Designation by China's National Medical Products Administration (NMPA). Interim results previously disclosed at the 2025 AASLD Annual Meeting demonstrated that the HT-101 + HT-102 combination achieved rapid clearance and a clearance rate of up to 90% in CHB patients, highlighting its clinical potential as a next-generation functional cure regimen for hepatitis B and preliminarily validating the differentiated value of the dual-mechanism "siRNA + neutralizing antibody" combination strategy. During the European Association for the Study of the Liver (EASL) Congress held from May 27 to 30, 2026, the latest Phase II clinical data for the HT-101 + HT-102 combination regimen was selected for presentation as a "Best Breakthrough Abstract Poster," further earning authoritative international recognition.
