From information to medical solutions, the Internet is continuously empowering the healthcare industry with its unique advantages. At the 4th China International Import Expo (CIIE), a reporter from Lanjing Finance learned that Novartis (China) and Tencent Smart Medicine signed a strategic cooperation memorandum to jointly explore an innovative full-course management model in the field of dermatological diseases. This marks another innovative practice following the launch of "HeartCare AI," China's first artificial intelligence disease management platform for heart failure, which the two parties introduced at the CIIE in 2019.

It is estimated that there are over 6.5 million psoriasis patients in China, and currently, these patients face certain challenges in the onset, medical consultation, and disease management. In summary, these can be categorized into "three major difficulties": 1. Awareness Difficulty. Many patients fail to scientifically manage their treatment, often being inconsistent with their approach; 2. Medical Treatment Difficulty. Many patients are easily misled by so-called "cure" advertisements from unregulated medical institutions, seeking improper treatment in desperation, which leads to repeated or even worsened conditions; 3. Management Difficulty: Psoriasis tends to recur frequently, and there are many considerations regarding medication, creating challenges for long-term patient management.

The strong partnership between Novartis and Tencent aims to provide more patients with long-term, systematic, and full-course health services, offering a new solution to the challenges of dermatological management. By leveraging their respective strengths and digital technologies, the two parties will use psoriasis as an entry point to build a one-stop health management platform in the field of dermatology. This platform will offer users配套 services such as disease diagnosis and treatment education, optimized medical consultation experiences, and intelligent self-management, striving to cover the entire course of the disease from diagnosis to treatment and management.
