Recently, Rejuve Biotechnology has completed a Series A financing round raising tens of millions. This round was led by Highlight Capital, with WinX Capital serving as the exclusive financial advisor and continuing to oversee subsequent financing activities. The funds will be primarily allocated to advancing clinical studies for Rejuve's core product—a recombinant botulinum toxin developed based on a synthetic biology platform—as well as to the construction of an industrial production base and international expansion.
Rejuve Biotechnology is an innovative company focused on the research, development, production, and sales of recombinant botulinum toxin. It is committed to applying synthetic biology technology to the field of pharmaceuticals, developing and providing botulinum toxin series products with outstanding cost-effectiveness, with the aim of becoming one of the leading suppliers in this category.
In terms of technological innovation, leveraging its proprietary patented technology, Rejuve's lead pipeline, "DJ-01 Injection," has entered Phase II clinical trials, demonstrating good safety and efficacy. The product was developed using a gene-engineered strain design and construction technology platform, which significantly reduces the prominent biosafety risks associated with traditional botulinum toxin production. This approach substantially enhances product purity and quality while maintaining highly competitive costs, fully leveraging the advantages of the engineered strain platform and recombinant protein technology.
Supported by a multidisciplinary and highly capable core team, Rejuve is rapidly advancing the industrialization of its products. The core team members each have over ten years of experience in areas such as recombinant protein R&D, biopharmaceutical development, high-potency drug facility construction, pharmaceutical production, and medical aesthetics market expansion. In the two years since its establishment, Rejuve has quickly advanced its lead pipeline to Phase II clinical trials. To support the industrialization process, Rejuve is constructing a production facility compliant with international GMP standards, equipped with large-scale fermentation and purification lines. Once operational, the facility is expected to enable efficient and stable production of recombinant botulinum toxin, providing a solid foundation for supply to both Chinese and international markets.
