GE Healthcare and Boao Yiling Forge Strategic Partnership to Build Edison Digital Ecosystem Smart Hospital in Lecheng Pilot Zone

Recently, Shanghai — GE Healthcare officially signed the "Edison Digital Ecosystem Hospital" project cooperation agreement with Boao Yiling. Relying on 5G technology and based on GE Healthcare's Edison digital healthcare intelligence platform and precision imaging equipment, the two parties will jointly build a remote control and protocol standardization technology platform for scanning devices over the next three years. This platform will be extended to the main branches of the Yiling Group, enabling the sharing of high-quality medical resources, helping improve the efficiency and quality of medical diagnosis and treatment, promoting the enhancement of healthcare informatization, and contributing more significantly to "Healthy China 2030."

In March this year, GE Healthcare has signed a cooperation agreement with Boao Yiling and Mammotome. Leveraging the policy and resource advantages of Boao Lecheng International Medical Tourism Pilot Zone in Hainan (hereinafter referred to as "Lecheng Pilot Zone"), they will closely cooperate on the integrated precision diagnosis of breast cancer and early breast health for women. After reaching this cooperation, both parties will focus on the construction of Edison Digital Ecosystem Smart Hospital with intelligent full-process based on previous cooperation accumulation. While bringing more global advanced technologies, projects, and sharing platforms to the Lecheng Pilot Zone, GE Healthcare will empower each other with Yiling, complementing each other's advantages. They will deeply integrate 5G information technology, big data, artificial intelligence with the healthcare industry. On the basis of gathering industry wisdom, they will jointly build a better medical environment and resource allocation, contributing to making Hainan Lecheng Pilot Zone an international new highland for clinical real-world research.

Remote Application Center Based on 5G Intelligent Precision Scanning: Relying on GE Healthcare's "技影随行" (Image Quality Control Platform Technology) and imaging equipment such as CT, MRI, and ultrasound, a specialized and standardized scanning solution for different populations will be co-developed with Yiling. Meanwhile, GE Healthcare will provide a remote application expert team and expert technician team to explore and optimize scanning sequences for different disease requirements and imaging devices. Yiling will handle client-side testing, application, and feedback. Both parties will jointly establish standardized examination protocols and promote them. Additionally, GE Healthcare will offer real-time remote guidance and online teaching for application experts, connecting with expert technicians from renowned hospitals across China for online instruction and standard quality control of scans, thereby enhancing the overall scanning technician skills and examination capabilities of the Lecheng Pilot Zone hospitals.

Life Imaging Research Center Based on the Edison Platform: The Edison digital healthcare intelligence platform integrates AI applications from multiple partners, targeting medical imaging examinations and diagnosis. It can improve prediction accuracy and diagnostic efficiency while laying the foundation for more advanced examination projects. After establishing the Life Imaging Research Center, both parties will explore the application of AI technology in imaging fusion for full-lifecycle health management, develop personal life health information archives based on multi-modal holographic imaging, and support the development of patient-centered health management and specialized medical services in Hainan Lecheng.

Intelligent Panoramic Display Center for the Entire Hospital Based on IoT: Through the 360 Intelligent Display Center module, real-time intelligent analysis and presentation of the overall medical service overview of Yilin Hospital are provided; through multi-dimensional medical data analysis, precise prediction of disease development trends and formulation of individual and group prevention management plans are enabled, offering a health index report for the entire Lecheng population.

Medical Treatment Solutions Based on the Characteristics of Mobile Healthcare: Using mobile vehicles as carriers, a medical service ecosystem between hospitals and communities is established through modules such as mobile imaging, ultrasound, in-vitro diagnostics, and dual-cancer screening. This enhances public awareness of health management and improves patients' medical experience. By leveraging the technical advantages of 5G healthcare applications from the Edison Digital Medical Intelligence Platform, combined with cutting-edge AI-assisted diagnosis in the industry, real-time remote precision diagnosis and rapid reporting are achieved. At the same time, it explores and establishes patient information interconnectivity and a digital multidisciplinary treatment model among communities, Yilin, and Lecheng hospital campuses, optimizing resource allocation and treatment efficiency across hospitals.
