Suzhou, December 17, 2021 /PR Newswire/ -- Recently, Johnson & Johnson Medical's Chinese-manufactured Ethicon new generation antibacterial Vicryl absorbable sutures (VICRYL®Plus) successfully rolled off the production line and was delivered at the Johnson & Johnson Suzhou Industrial Park. As the first domestically manufactured surgical suture with triclosan antimicrobial coating in China, the new-generation antibacterial Vicryl embodies the global innovative expertise of Johnson & Johnson and the advanced technology of Chinese manufacturing. The new generation of antibacterial Vicryl absorbable sutures is the first Chinese-manufactured triclosan-coated antibacterial suture, which helps inhibit bacterial colonization on the suture and reduce the risk of surgical site infections, benefiting patients. Johnson & Johnson Medical introduced the advanced manufacturing process of this innovative product to China and began production in Suzhou.
