HighTide Therapeutics Appoints Dr. Jin Chen as Senior Vice President of Pharmacokinetics and Clinical Pharmacology

On January 6, HighTide announced the appointment of Dr. Chen Jin as Senior Vice President of Pharmacokinetics and Clinical Pharmacology.

Dr. Chen Jin has nearly two decades of global clinical development experience in new drugs and obtained a Ph.D. in Pharmacy from the University at Buffalo, State University of New York. Over the past 15 years, Dr. Chen Jin held positions such as Clinical Development Director and Clinical Pharmacology Director in Novartis' Cardiovascular, Renal, and Metabolic Business Unit, as well as its Chronic Liver Disease Business Unit. She led several clinical developments for new drugs, including the indications that HighTide primarily focuses on—Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM), Primary Biliary Cholangitis (PBC), Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD), and Non-Alcoholic Steatohepatitis (NASH)—and completed numerous clinical trials and new drug registration applications. Prior to joining Novartis, she also served as a Clinical Pharmacokinetic Scientist at Amgen, Inc.
